UPDATE:

Even as Phase 1 or our response is still underway–emergency assistance of food, water, shelter and medical–we have begun Phase 2:

Building & Staffing Learning Centers & Temporary Shelters

By building 3 learning centers immediately in communities where we work we can address three urgent community needs:

  • Shelter – The vast majority of earthquake victims are sleeping under the stars or under makeshift sheets propped up by sticks.
  • Jobs – People are penniless and desperate for jobs that will enable them feed their families and begin rebuilding their lives.
  • Education - We can’t wait for schools to be rebuilt. Children’s minds must be stimulated now!

Although the U.S. and Haiti are only separated by a short flight, they’re a world of suffering apart. How can you make a lasting difference? Together, we can help Haitians change Haiti through education:

  • Students – educating 600 children in 4 partner schools More >
  • Teachers – training 300 teachers (for 6,000 children) annually More >
  • Leaders – training 40 community leaders from around the country in an intensive 3-year program More >
  • Disciples – providing 10,000 people in churches and literacy centers with Bibles and training More >
